Welcome to Juliana's Music Box
It has been my honor to have shared my great love of music and knowledge with thousands of Hudson valley babies, toddlers and families from Newburgh, Fishkill, Wappingers Falls, Poughkeepsie, Hopewell Junction, New Windsor, Beacon, Cold Spring, Monroe, Highland Mills, Bloomingrove, West Point, Chester, Washingtonville, Warwick and More, since 2000.
Music has a hidden powerto create a smarter, happier, healthier, more confident and capable child.
At this time, when your child has a billion neurons( these are brain cells that store and send information) there is no better activity than music to help their little brains grow. There are more parts of the brain affected by music than any other function that people perform.
Best of all it’s loads of fun for both parent and child!
For music to have that profound effect on brain development, a child (and adult!) must physically engage in musical activities.
It is not enough to just listen to music. You need to take part – to feel, make, hear and memorize sounds and patterns;to sing, clap , dance and remember movements.
My classes are filled with everything you and your child will need for a great start.
Come and join me in the dance, and Make music a part of your every day.
We are musical beings! Making music uses every part of who we are- our voice, feet, hands, memory, emotions, imagination, breath, voice, heart and soul. All of us.
Active music making, nurtures cognitive, physical, language, emotional and social learning but it is more than this.
Music comforts us when we are sad, energizes us when we are tired, bonds us to ones we love, inspires us when we are indifferent and helps us get through the tough stuff- like going to the dentist!
Music helps us smile and cry, live and thrive, love , and participate in life. That's why!
Give the gift of a lifetime and join our song!
